Training

To participate in centralized electricity trading for digital miners, employees of your company may complete training on working in the demo version of the Electronic Trading System of JSC "KOREM".

To complete the training, your company must:

Send a letter to JSC "KOREM" together with a list of company employees to be sent for remote training under the program: Centralized Electricity Trading for Digital Miners.
Employees who decide to complete the training should familiarize themselves with the Rules for Organizing Centralized Electricity Trading.

Remote training is conducted at the request of a wholesale market entity wishing to train its employees. Training is provided free of charge under a concluded centralized electricity trading market participation agreement.

Procedure for conducting centralized trading for digital miners:

Centralized electricity auctions for digital miners are held daily in accordance with the “Rules for Organizing Centralized Electricity Auctions.” Joint auctions are held for the Northern and Southern Zones of the Kazakhstan Unified Energy System (UES), taking into account the transmission capacity of the power lines connecting the Northern and Southern Zones of the Kazakhstan UES; participants in these auctions are active digital miners from only the Northern and Southern Zones of the Kazakhstan UES. Separate auctions are also held for the Western Zone of the Kazakhstan UES, in which only digital miners from the Western Zone of the EES of Kazakhstan participate. From 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. Astana time is the main trading session for the Northern and Southern Zones of the EES of Kazakhstan and the Western Zone of the EES of Kazakhstan. The trading session lasts 30 minutes. The purchase price is determined based on the price quoted by the digital miner.

Trading day

Until 09:15 a.m.

The system operator automatically provides the operator of the centralized trading market with the following information signed by the system operator using EDS:

1) quotas for the zones of the EEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan for digital miners with hourly volumes of power for purchase;

2) the amount of residual capacity of the North-South transmission line.

Until 09:15 a.m.

A single buyer of electric energy automatically provides the operator of the centralized trading market with information about the amounts of prepayment of digital miners. The information on the prepayment amounts is transmitted digitally, signed by an employee of a single buyer of electric energy using an EDS.

9:30 a.m./10:00 a.m.

Opening of the auction

The main time for submitting applications for the purchase of electric energy

Digital miners who have submitted applications for sale during the main time are given an additional opportunity to change the submitted applications for sale

During the trading session, digital miners have the opportunity to change the price and volume of electric energy in previously submitted applications within the prepaid amount by submitting an application instead of the previously submitted one

According to the results of the auction, the list of digital miners whose purchase orders were included in the trading volumes is determined

Until 4:00 p.m.

Approval of the daily schedule of production/consumption of electric energy by the System Operator.

Until 6:00 p.m.

The operator of the centralized trading market, (except for holidays and weekends) using EDS or e-mail, sends to the bidders and the single buyer, via electronic document management system, notifications of the results of the centralized bidding, indicating the following information on the transactions concluded at the centralized bidding: the determined transaction prices for each hour of the operating day, the volumes of electric energy purchased by the bidders.
