Training

To participate in centralized electric power auctions, employees of your company can receive training on working in the Electronic Trading System of JSC KOREM both independently and remotely from employees of JSC KOREM.

To complete the training, your company must:

1. Send a letter and a list of the company's employees who are being sent for distance learning at KOREM JSC under the program: Centralized Electric Power Bidding.

2. Employees who decide to study independently or who are going to distance learning should familiarize themselves with:

Rules of organization and functioning of the electric power market;
Methodological guidelines for conducting centralized trading in electric capacity.
3. Distance learning is carried out at the request of an ORE entity wishing to train its employees. The training is provided free of charge within the framework of a signed agreement for participation in the centralized electric power trading market.

The procedure for conducting centralized trading in electric capacity:

Trading day

Auctions are held according to the schedule of JSC «KOREM». Joint auctions are held for the Northern and Southern zones of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan, taking into account the capacity of power transmission lines connecting the Northern and Southern zones of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in which only the existing EPOs of the Northern and Southern zones of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan participate, as well as separate auctions for the Western zone of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in which only EPOs of the Western zone of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan participate. From 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Astana time is the main time of the trading session for the Northern and Southern zones of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Mangystau region of the Western zone, taking into account the capacity of power transmission lines towards the Mangystau power hub. From 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. Astana time is the main time of the trading session for the West Kazakhstan and Atyrau regions of the Western zone, taking into account the capacity of power transmission lines towards the West Kazakhstan power hub. The maximum duration of the trading session is 5 hours. Price determination is by the single-sided auction method.

Extra time

EPOs that submitted sale applications during the main time are given an additional opportunity to change the submitted applications

During the trading session, participants can change or delete previously submitted applications

Blocking the acceptance of applications

Based on the results of the auction, the list of EPOs whose sale applications were included in the trading volume is determined

Sending notifications about the results of the auction to the bidders

Trading results are visible to the bidders after the closing of the trading session. Based on the results of the auction, the bidders independently conclude contracts for the provision of services to maintain the availability of electric power.
