Joint Stock Company «Kazakhstan electricity and power market operator» (JSC «KOREM») is the organizer of auction trading for the selection of projects for the construction of renewable energy facilities, as well as auction trading for the construction of newly commissioned generating units with a maneuverable generation mode.
The organization and conduct of auction trading for projects involving the construction of renewable energy facilities are carried out in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Support for the Use of Renewable Energy Sources» and Order № 280 dated August 7, 2017, of the Acting Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Determining the Organizer of Auction Trading», whereby JSC «KOREM» was designated as the organizer of auction trading.
Auction trading for the construction of newly commissioned generating units with a maneuverable generation mode is conducted in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Electric Power Industry» and Order № 329 dated September 4, 2023, of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Determining the Organizer of Auction Trading for the Construction of Newly Commissioned Generating Units with a Maneuverable Generation Mode», whereby KOREM JSC was designated as the organizer of the said auction trading.
JSC «KOREM» ensures the organization and conduct of auction trading in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, while ensuring compliance with the principles of openness, transparency, competitiveness, and equal access for all participants in the auction procedures.
