Centralized trading for digital miners

As part of organizing and conducting centralized electricity trading for digital miners, JSC "KOREM" provides two types of services:

1. Organization and conduct of centralized electricity trading.
2. Ensuring the readiness of the trading system for conducting centralized electricity trading.

The service for organizing and conducting centralized electricity trading includes:

• organizing and conducting daily centralized electricity trading in "day-ahead" mode;
• registering and recording transactions for the purchase and sale of electricity concluded on centralized trading;
• monitoring the execution of transactions concluded on centralized trading;
• interacting with the System Operator and the Single Buyer on matters related to organizing and conducting centralized trading.

The service of JSC "KOREM" for organizing and conducting centralized electricity trading is paid for by the wholesale electricity market entity, a participant in centralized trading, based on the volume of purchase-sale transactions for electricity registered in the trading system during centralized trading, at a rate of KZT 0.0035 per 1 kWh (excluding VAT), in accordance with the Minutes of the in-person Management Board meeting No. 03-02/24 dated 29 September 2025 on the need to adjust the tariff for the "Organization and Conduct of Centralized Electricity Trading" service.

The service for ensuring the readiness of the trading system for conducting centralized electricity trading includes:

• maintaining the trading system in constant operational readiness for conducting centralized electricity trading;
• determining the compliance of wholesale electricity market entities with the criteria and requirements for participation in centralized trading of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• providing wholesale electricity market entities with information on indicative electricity prices formed at centralized trading and other market information;
• conducting briefings for wholesale electricity market participants on working with the trading system;
• monitoring the electricity market;
• providing informational support to wholesale market entities in concluding bilateral agreements.

The service of JSC "KOREM" for ensuring the readiness of the trading system for conducting centralized electricity trading has, since 1 May 2018, been paid for by the wholesale electricity market entity based on the volumes of electricity purchase and sale on the wholesale electricity market, at a rate of KZT 0.0056/kWh, in accordance with the Minutes of the in-person Management Board meeting No. 03-02/24 dated 29 September 2025 on the need to adjust the tariff for the "Ensuring Readiness of the Trading System for Conducting Centralized Trading" service.
