Kazakhstan's energy sector expressed its support for constitutional reforms at a KЕA event.

   ASTANA, 11 March 2026 — An expanded meeting dedicated to discussing constitutional reform and the upcoming referendum was held at the Kazakhstan Electric Power Association (KЕA), attended by deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KЕA leadership, and heads of major energy holdings. Other regions joined via video link.

    The importance of human labour, the involvement of young people in volunteer activities and social processes, and environmental issues were noted.

    Ruslan Serikbaevich Tauekelov, Director of the Legal Support Department at KOREM JSC, gave a presentation on behalf of KOREM JSC. He explained in detail the legal essence of the transition from a bicameral parliament to a unicameral Kurultai. He supported the constitutional reforms and highlighted the key mechanisms of the People's Council.

    Following the meeting, representatives of Kazakhstan's energy companies expressed their support for the proposed changes, noting that the reform creates an open system of public administration focused on public needs.
