«KOREM» JSC Representatives Led by Chairman of the Management Board A.N. Daribayev Participate in International Renewable Energy Workshop in Vienna.

   From 25 to 29 May 2026, employees of KOREM JSC participated in the international workshop “Enabling Renewable Energy Scale-Up across Europe and Central Asia Workshop”, organized jointly by the World Bank and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). The event was held at the Vienna Development Knowledge Centre of the World Bank in Vienna, Austria.   The workshop brought together representatives of government agencies, international organizations, transmission system operators, and energy companies from across Europe and Central Asia to discuss current challenges and opportunities related to renewable energy development and the modernization of energy infrastructure.    Particular attention was given to the integration of renewable energy facilities into power systems, the development of energy storage solutions, and enhancing power system flexibility amid the growing share of renewable generation. Participants also reviewed international best practices in the implementation of competitive procurement mechanisms for renewable energy projects, including auction-based models.    During the “Country Experiences” session, Kazakhstan’s experience in promoting renewable energy development, implementing market-based mechanisms in the energy sector, and creating favorable conditions for attracting investment into the energy industry was presented.     On the sidelines of the workshop, KOREM JSC representatives held working meetings and exchanged expertise with representatives of the World Bank, IRENA, government institutions, and energy companies from across the region. These engagements contributed to strengthening professional networks and expanding international cooperation.

A working meeting was held in Astana between the Chairman of the Management Board of KOREM JSC and representatives of CosinSolar (People’s Republic of China), a company specializing in the development and implementation of solar energy technologies.

Repeated Open Auction for the Selection of Solar Power Plant (SPP) Projects to Be Held in Kazakhstan on July 23, 2026.

   “KOREM” JSC announces that on April 28, 2026, open auction trading sessions were held for the selection of renewable energy projects in the category of solar power plants (SPPs) with an installed capacity of 50 MW.    Following the results of the trading session, only one company was admitted to participate in the auction. In this regard, pursuant to subparagraph 2) of paragraph 67 of the Rules for Organizing and Conducting Auction Trading, approved by Order No. 466 of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 21, 2017 (requiring at least two participants to submit applications in the trading system for participation in the auction), the auction was declared invalid.    As a result of the auction trading session, no winner was determined.    According to the announcement of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the repeated open auction for the selection of 50 MW solar power plant (SPP) projects will be held on July 23, 2026, at 3:00 PM.    As the Organizer of the auction trading sessions, “KOREM” JSC informs that the submission of documents and registration of applicants for participation in the repeated auction trading sessions shall be carried out in accordance with the Rules for Organizing and Conducting Auction Trading, starting 30 (thirty) calendar days prior to the auction date and ending 5 (five) business days before the commencement of the auction.    For additional information, please contact “KOREM” JSC by sending an inquiry to koremadm@korem.kz or by phone at +7 (7172) 982-965.
