Within the framework of these auctions, it is planned to select projects providing for the construction of generating units with a maneuverable generation mode at the sites of existing energy-producing organizations that should implement projects using hydrodynamic energy of water and (or) gas to generate electric energy.
The planned volume of services for maintaining the availability of electric power is 550 MW.

The winner of the auction is obliged to ensure the completion of the construction of the generating unit by 2025, as well as to comply with the requirements stipulated by the legislation in the field of electric power industry.

In turn, the investor will be provided with a guaranteed return of the invested investments on the introduced amount of electric power by the LLP «Settlement and Financial Center for the Support of Renewable Energy Sources» for 15 years within the framework of the electric power market.

The auction bidding mechanism was introduced on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in order to cover the shortage of regulating capacity in the Unified Electric Power System of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to ensure reliable power supply to the population and business entities.
