On November 10, 2022, auctions were held for the selection of SES projects with a total installed capacity of 20 MW
On November 10, 2022, the sixth renewable energy auction was held for the southern zone of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the selection of solar power plants with a total installed capacity of 20 MW.
2 companies were allowed to participate in the auction, 2 price proposals were submitted by the participants during the trading session, the unit capacity of the projects ranged from 10,001 to 20 MW. The total volume of applications submitted amounted to 30.001 MW. The minimum proposed auction price for the selection of 20 MW SES projects was 16.95 tg/kWh (excluding VAT).
According to the results of the auction, the winner was determined by the company «Tesis» LLP (Kazakhstan). The project is planned to be located near the Aral district of the Kyzylorda region, with an installed project capacity of 20 MW.
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the «Kazakhstan Electric Power» Association, «KAZENERGY», and the «Qazaq Green» Association participated as observers at the auction. Observers noted the full transparency of the electronic trading system of the auction organizer – JSC «KOREM».
The next auction is scheduled for November 11, 2022 for the selection of wind farm projects with a total installed capacity of 50 MW.
