Auction bidding were held for the selection of wind farm projects at the site located in the Kostanay region near Arkalyk
On November 28, 2022, an auction was held on renewable energy for the northern zone of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the selection of wind power plants with a total installed capacity of 50 MW.
7 companies took part in the auction, 21 price proposals were submitted by the participants during the trading session, the unit capacity of the projects was 50 MW. The total volume of applications submitted was 250 MW. The maximum auction price during the auction for the selection of wind farm projects in 2022 was 21.53 tg/kWh (excluding VAT). During the trading session, the price range of bids received from auction participants ranged from 21.53 to 12.97 tenge/kWh (excluding VAT).
According to the results of the auction , the following company was determined as the winner:
- «Aspan Energo» LLP (Kazakhstan) the installed capacity of the project is 50 MW, the auction price is 12.97 tg/kWh (without VAT).
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Association of Renewable Energy «Qazaq Green», the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development participated in the auction as observers.
As a result, the auction price decreased by 40%, which is a good result.
The next auction with documentation on the Zhezkazgan site is scheduled for November 29, 2022 for the selection of wind power projects with a total installed capacity of 100 MW.
