On July 15, 2022, the second auction for the construction of newly commissioned generating units with maneuverable generation mode took place at a Turkestan Region.
In order to implement the mechanism of guaranteed return on investments directed to the implementation of projects for the construction of maneuverable generation, the second auction for the construction of newly commissioned generation units with maneuverable generation mode located in the Turkestan region was held on the trading platform of JSC KOREM.
The construction of the Turkestan combined-cycle gas plant will ensure the reduction of the shortage of electric capacity in the Southern zone, the ability to cover the growing consumption, as well as operational regulation in the Unified Electric Power System of Kazakhstan.
3 companies took part in the auction.
According to the results of the auction, the total volume of the selected capacity amounted to 926.5 MW.
The winner of the auction was determined by the company "PSU Turkestan" LLP.
During the trading session, the price range of bids received from auction participants ranged from 16,299,800 to 16,275,800 tenge/MW*month (excluding VAT).
