On February 1, 2024, a meeting was held in videoconference mode with energy-producing organizations of Kazakhstan on the issues of implementing the software of the Digital Energy Platform information system (further – DEP IS).

In order to implement the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tokayev Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich to the people of Kazakhstan dated September 1, 2023 in terms of the introduction of digital control tools, expanding citizens' access to information on the execution of tariff estimates and investment programs in the electric power industry, on the instructions of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Joint Stock Company «KOREM» has developed and put into pilot operation an automated information system DEP IS.

More than 40 representatives of the energy industry took part in the online mode, including the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, territorial departments for Karaganda, Mangystau, East Kazakhstan regions, Astana and Almaty cities, JSC JSC «KOREM» and energy producing organizations.

On the agenda: the use of DEP IS in energy-producing organizations and on ensuring the interaction of energy-producing organizations with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the System Operator of JSC «KEGOC» and JSC «KOREM».

Ilya Rozhkov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, made a welcoming speech. Ilya Borisovich noted the importance of digitalization of the electric power industry.

During the meeting, Director of the Department of Analytics and Project Management of JSC «KOREM» Abai Shangitbayev presented the functionality of the DEP IS for energy-producing organizations and government agencies.

As a result of the meeting, the issues of conducting training seminars for responsible persons of the CAESC ME RK and energy-producing organizations on authorization and work in the DEP IS were resolved, on the need to ensure interaction with the heads and responsible persons of energy-producing organizations in order to successfully complete the trial operation of the DEP IS and the phased introduction of the DEP IS into industrial production.
