On December 19, 2023, JSC «Kazakhstan Electric Energy and Capacity Market Operator» received a delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic.

A delegation from Kyrgyzstan consisting of representatives of JSC «Kyrgyz Energy Settlement Center» (KESC) arrived in Kazakhstan on a working visit. KESC – participates in the development and approval of conceptual documents on the creation of a national wholesale electricity market in the Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of the USAID projects «Regional Electricity Market of Central Asia» and «Energy of the Future».

Employees of JSC «KOREM» talked about the company's role in the Kazakhstani electric energy market, about the types of bidding, the functions of the company, as a trading platform for centralized electric energy bidding with a Single buyer, and about a new function introduced this year - the settlement center of the balancing electric energy market.
