A project of a new energy storage technology was presented at the site of JSC «KOREM»
On September 28, on the basis of the industrial center of technological competencies of JSC «KOREM», Gravient presented a project of a new technology for gravitational accumulation of electric energy.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy of RK, JSC «KEGOC», JSC «Kazakhstan Electric Power Association», ALE «KazEnergy» and other representatives of the electric energy market of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
LLP «Gravient» - Kazakhstan resident company of the technopark «Astana Hub», carrying out developments in the field of new energy storage technologies.
The head of the Gravient presented a pilot project of the gravitational electric energy storage technology. Project - a model of a high-rise building built using robotic construction technology, with a capacity of 7.5 MW and a volume of 7.9 MWh. High level of efficiency and service life of 50 years or more.
The presented technology is innovative, based on local development and involves ensuring reliable and uninterrupted operation of the power system of Kazakhstan, taking into account the growth of the share of renewable energy sources.
As a result, the participants of the meeting expressed their opinion, actively asked questions of interest, discussed the positive and negative sides of the project.
