As part of the launch of a Single Buyer and a balancing market, centralized auctions of electric energy were held
On June 30, 2023, the first centralized auctions of electric energy were held on the electronic trading system (hereinafter referred to as the system) of KOREM JSC according to the new model of a Single Buyer of Electric Energy.
The first trading session was held for digital miners. 6 participants were admitted to the system. The total demand was 1,601 thousand kWh. with a maximum hourly power of 169.2 MW. According to the results of the trading session, 1,330,226 thousand kWh were sold with a maximum capacity of 169.2 MW. The highest purchase price was formed at the level of 19.29 tenge/ without VAT for 1 kWh.
The second session was held for the sale of electricity by electric power stations. A total of 14 stations took part in it. The total declared volume for sale was 111 448 thousand kWh. with a maximum capacity of 4,807.7 MW. According to the results of the trading session, 111,194 thousand kWh were selected. with a maximum capacity of 4,806.7 MW for a Single Buyer.
According to the results of the first trading day, centralized trading was successful. Data on the results of centralized trades were transferred to the system operator for inclusion in the draft daily schedule for July 1 of this year.
