The contractual campaign to conclude a contract for balancing electricity market with participants of the wholesale electricity market continues
On April 19, 2023, the Head of State signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts on administrative reform», within the framework of which amendments were made to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Electric Power Industry», providing for the introduction from July 1 of this year of a new model of the wholesale electricity market and the launch of a balancing electricity market in real time.
In this regard, since June 15, 2023, JSC «KOREM» has launched a campaign to conclude contracts:
- purchase and sale of balancing electrical energy and negative imbalances;
- joining with all subjects of the balancing market;
- participation in the centralized electricity trading market (with energy-producing organizations and digital miners).
The conclusion of contracts with participants of the wholesale electricity market is carried out in the electronic document management system «Documentolog» and is signed using an electronic digital signature.
