The management of JSC «KOREM» held a meeting with EU experts on the launch of the SECCA project
On February 17 of this year, a meeting on the project of the European Union «Sustainable Energy Connectivity in Central Asia» (SECCA) was held at the site of JSC «KOREM».
SECCA is a project of regional cooperation in the field of sustainable energy between the European Union and its partner countries in Central Asia. The partner countries are: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The meeting discussed issues on:
- the main stages of the project implementation;
- activities to be carried out at the initial stage of the project implementation;
- development of a work plan.
During the negotiations, the current status of the project implementation was assessed, tasks were outlined and existing topical issues of the electric power sector of Kazakhstan were discussed, the solution of which should be reflected in the implementation of the regional cooperation project.
Following the meeting, the activities and terms of cooperation on current and future tasks were agreed upon.
