Within the framework of the ICTC, a meeting of the Expert Committee on Market Issues was held in JSC «KOREM»
On January 30, 2023, the first meeting of the Expert Committee on Market Issues in the direction of improving the Market Council in Kazakhstan was held at the site of JSC «KOREM».
During the meeting, organizational issues of the work of the Expert Committee aimed at forming proposals for improving the model of the Council of the Electric Energy and Capacity Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan were considered.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies, NCE «Atameken», JSC «Kazakhstan Electric Power Association», JSC «KEGOS», LLP «Settlement Center for RES Support», the USAID Project «Energy of Central Asia» Tetra Tech.
The Expert Committee on Market Issues was formed within the framework of the rules of work of the ICTc. Expert committees perform the functions of advisory and advisory bodies (work coordinators) according to the relevant directions at the ICTC, expert opinions are formed on topical issues in the directions, with subsequent directions in the ICTC for generalization and consolidation.
During the meeting, issues related to the terms of reference for market improvement consultants, the work plan of consultants were considered and discussed.
