A meeting on the development of renewable energy zones in Kazakhstan was held at the site of JSC «KOREM»
On November 30 of this year, «KOREM» JSC hosted a meeting with representatives of USAID, the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Asian Development Bank, and the German Energy Agency (DENA).
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss methods and measures for the development of renewable energy zones in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of this meeting, the following issues were discussed:
- Conducting the development of renewable energy zones;
- Research of renewable energy zones;
- Infrastructure;
- Regulatory environment;
- Continuation of carbon independence neutrality.
During the meeting, the vision of the development of renewable energy zones in Kazakhstan was discussed in detail, namely, the development of qualification requirements for participants of lots of renewable energy zones, the initialization of parallel development of renewable energy zones in Kazakhstan. Also an important aspect is the role of state support on this issue, such as the localization of the production of components and components of renewable energy, the creation of free economic zones of renewable energy, training in the renewable energy sector.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in mutual cooperation, it was decided that the participants would provide technical support within the framework of the development of renewable energy zones in Kazakhstan.
