In accordance with the Rules of organizing and holding auction, including qualification requirements for auction participants, the content and procedure for submitting applications, types of financial guarantee for participation in auction and conditions of their deposit and return, the procedure for summing up the results and determining the winner, approved by the order of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 466 dated December 21, 2017, the schedule of auction for 2019 has been posted on the official website of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan .

The total installed capacity to be selected in 2019 is 255 MW, broken down by types of power plants:

• solar power plant (SPP) – 80 MW (including 50 MW at project auction);
• wind power plants (WPP) – 100 MW;
• hydroelectric power plants (HPP) – 65 MW;
• Bio Power Plants (BioPP) – 10 MW.

For purposes of preparation for participation in the auction for selection of RES projects, the parties concerned may apply for explanatory information on the official websites of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (http://energo.gov.kz/), Financial Settlement Center for the support of Renewable Energy Sources LLP (http://www.rfc.kegoc.kz/) and JSC KOREM (http://www.korem.kz/) or attend explanatory workshops.

* - project auction (type of auction, organized and conducted in the auction-based electronic system by the auction organizer and aimed at selection of projects for construction of new RES using facilities and determination of auction prices for electric energy produced by RES using facilities, taking into account the RES using facilities layout design and prepared for applicants documentation defining the main performance parameters of the project for construction of new RES using facilities)
